RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily Interface with CONTRACTOR QC disciplines on related Welding/NDT/ Quality Control activities;
- Focal point for all welding activities on Site leading local Welding and Piping QC team and providing Welding Engineering support to Construction teams;
- Responsibility for control of welding procedure qualification programme, ensuring timely qualifications to meet Construction schedules;
- Responsibility for monitoring welder qualification programme meeting Russian Federation, NAKS and ASME standards, with regular interface with Subcontractor;
- Monitoring welder performance on a daily basis, ensuring welding repair rates meet Project KPI;
- Producing weekly/monthly welding statistics for dissemination to all Construction Dept.;
- Acts as final arbiter in all issues with regards to welding quality interfacing with Subcontractors to maintain essential controls on all Welding parameters;
- Conduct regular meetings with Subcontractors ensuring the Welding programme;
- Trouble shoots all welding related issues finding active, effective solutions to welding problems;
- Oversight of the NDT/PWHT programmes, ensuring that NDT/PWHT processes & procedures are technically acceptable, and are being utilized to maximum benefit (including RT, UT, PT, MT, PAUT);
- In conjunction with the QA/QC Manager, prepare training programme, and awareness of welding practice;
- Report any noncompliance detected during weld works at site, review and comment Subcontractor’s general log and specific log books.
- 5 to 10 Years of relevant experience;
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, welding procedures and specifications required;
- Welding/Fabrication Qualification (including NAKS certification, Strong NDT knowledges, NDE certification, Visual & Dimensional Control certification);
- Good communications skills, bilingual (English -Russian)l;
- MS Office, Adobe, drawings and isometrics.
- Rotation 56/21 in Belokamenka (Murmansk Region);
- 10 hour working day, 6/1 working week;
